Island Family is the fifth album from Isle of Eigg dwelling electro-acoustic psych-pop wonder Pictish Trail, AKA Johnny Lynch. Arriving March 18, 2022 on limited-edition slime green vinyl, black vinyl, CD and digital platforms (available to pre-order now), its release is preceded by the latest single ‘It Came Back’, a brand new video for which – directed by Sam Wisternoff (SJ Esau) and starring one of the UK's best-loved stand-up comedians James Acaster – is available to watch and share now. Pictish Trail will tour the UK in spring 2022 (with support from Lost Map artist Savage Mansion).
To celebrate the release of his new album, Pictish Trail is putting together a special homecoming gig on the Isle of Eigg, over the weekend of July 1-2, 2022. There’ll be a proper Hebridean knees-up on the Friday evening, and an all-dayer of live music and DJs on the Saturday – with a headline performance from Pictish Trail and his full band. Tickets priced £80 will go on general sale Saturday, March 5 at 12 Noon, from howlinfling.com. Postmap Club members will have first dibs at a pre-sale, on Friday, March 4.
