The Pictish Trail, here. Whaddya think o’ the Lost Map website - pretty swanky, eh? So glad you can join us.

It’s been a sweat-drenched summer o’ shows - Glasto, Green Man Festival and the Edinburgh festival gig at the Liquid Rooms have all been highlights. I’m now cooling down in my caravan on Eigg, with a moist towelette and a Clairol foot spa, preparing myself for you.

I’m off on tour again, y’see - at the beginning of next month, spreading the good word LOST MAP to all and sundry. It’s a full band tour, and i’m bringing along my pals from Eigg - Ben & Joe from the Massacre Cave, and Brendawwwg. In the photo, above, you can see them fighting over who gets to share a bunk with me. Awww, you guys.

Really looking forward to it. If you’ve managed to catch any of my festival dates so far you’ll know that there’s a fair bit o’ headbanging, some sexy strutting and a bit of elbow wanging involved. It’s been fun putting new life into the Secret Soundz songs, and I hope you can join us - cos this will be the last tour i’m doing with the band before getting back to work on the next record.

At the end of the tour i’ll be doing a stripped-back / acoustic Pictish show at the Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh, with the entire Lost Map roster joining me for a wee label showcase - Rozi, Seamus, John B (from Monoganon), Kid Canaveral, eagleowl, and Adam (from Randolph’s Leap). I’m really chuffed the whole gang can make it - s’gonna be a special gig. Expect awkward group hugs, and Surprise Surprise style tears.

I’ll be raking the cupboards for some rarities to bring on tour, so expect an interesting merch desk. I’ve got an old Phil Collins record i’m particularly desperate to get rid of.
