Here at Lost Map people are always complimenting us on our tight little packages, and we haven't really known what they've meant by that until now that we've put together Resort, the debut compilation album by Tuff Love, which is surely the definition of a tight little package. Bringing together on one disc all three of the band's critically-acclaimed 10" coloured vinyl EPs to date - Junk, Dross (both now sold-out and digitally-deleted) and Dregs - in chronological order, it's like a handy short history of the Tuffs to date, from mere pups to top dawgs ...

Completing their triumphant trio of introductory EPs, Julie & Suse (aka Tuff Love), are excited to announce their new EP Dregs, which is due Nov 6th via Lost Map Records.  If you pre-order the Dregs EP from the Lost Map webshop right now, you'll receive an instant download of the lead single 'Duke'.

Kid Canaveral's 2015 edition of Christmas Baubles will be an intimate affair at Pilrig St Paul's Church Hall in Edinburgh on Saturday, December 19.   Tickets have sold out.

Seamus Fogarty's new EP Ducks and Drakes is out on September 4, 2015 on super rare-edition 12” vinyl with self-designed screen-printed sleeve (250 copies only) and as a BandCamp / iTunes download.  For a limited time, you can purchase the 12" EP with the double CD of Seamo's debut album, God Damn You Mountain, at a special price of just £14.99.

It will be launched with a "launch" show, such is the custom, at Servants Jazz Quarters in London TONIGHT ... that's Tuesday, September 1. Tickets are on sale here

AKA 11 REASONS TO GO TO PENICUIK THIS WEEKEND

Howlin' Fringe is kicking off tomorrow, Saturday 8th August ... and we've got 11 reasons as to why you should visit Penicuik!

Slow Club, Seamus Fogarty, The Pictish Trail, Tuff Love, Randolph's Leap, Kid Canaveral, Rozi Plain and Supermoon: let's get that bit out of the way first, which is to say the full line-up for Lost Map's Howlin' Fringe! at Penicuik Town Hall on Saturday, August 8.  Save for the pending additions of a few funny people ("comedians") TBA, anyway, assuming we can coax one or two of them away from the orgy of queuing and wasted paper that is the "Edinburgh Fringe". Our last remaining tickets are on sale at £18, so get buying now if you don't want to miss out.

Oh you greedy sods you. Since they went onsale two weeks back you've been snapping up tickets to our Howlin' Fringe! mini-festival at Penicuik Town Hall on Sat Aug 8 faster than we could say "wait, we've accidentally set the postage rate too low!", Early-Birds have long since flown out the door. There are another few advance tickets at £15 remaining, after that it's £18 full-price briefs all the way.  Shop, dear friends - shop like the wind!

We've just started a new competition ... in the build up to the event, we'd like you to share photographs of some of your most howlin' hairdos - from the explosive bangs your sadistic mother styled for you for a school photograph as a gap-toothed sprog, to that ill-advised severe combover you sported when you were going through your teeny emo phase. Haircut catastrophes, dodgy doos, follical misfires, barber-based balls-ups - we'll take 'em all! ...

Having just come off tour with Ride, and playing to a packed out tent at Field Day, Tuff Love are currently locked away in Suse's flat, putting the finishing touches to some new recordings.  DO NOT DISTURB.  We're not allowed to tell you any more about the sounds emanating from that room ...

BUT ... we can tell you that the band have just announced a string of dates in November.  They're playing Sheffield (9th), Leiceister (10th), Brighton (11th), London (12th), Hebden Bridge (13th), Manchester (14th) and York (15th) ... with more dates to be announced later.

But before all that, the Tuffs have got a jam-packed summer of festivals ...

Lost Map Records are thrilled to announce a brand new hairy live music and comedy all-day happening for summer 2015: Lost Map's Howlin' Fringe! at Penicuik Town Hall in Penicuik, Midlothian on Saturday, August 8, 2015.

Tickets go on sale Thursday 21st May.  For more info, click here: http://lostmap.com/howlinfringe

Lost Map's leading (only) psycho-tropical pop band Insect Heroes are not of this universe.

Latest single, ‘Beautiful World’ is a desolately beautiful garage-psych ballad that sings to the death grip intensity of true romance amid the early-morning dregs of a party, with a chorus none more toxically euphoric than “I’m so happy, I could die”.  Frontman George Thomas, has put together a video of reverse tree-surgery, in which trees regenerate around a colour-flipped city-scape ...

Beautiful World has yet another incarnation ... If you head over to our CLUMPS section, you can tune in to BBC Radio 4000 and get your ears around Beautiful World, a podcast/radio-play performed, and put together for your ear-hole enjoyment by the band.

It's Record Store Day this Saturday (18th April) - a day where music fans, and queueing enthusiasts, joyfully gather together in one big conga-line.  You can purchase rare re-pressed records, new depressed records, scratch'n'sniff cassettes and talk to people directly in front of you, and directly behind you, in an orderly formation.  It's a celebration of music and the people who like music.

Ladies and gents, for Record Store Day this year, Lost Map brings to you ... a split 7" single from Tuff Love and Lazy Day, and a 12" live LP from Randolph's Leap.

GRAT 00°5 - Tuff Love / Lazy Day
'Groucho' b/w 'Portrait', 7" + download

GRAT 00°6 - Randolph's Leap
Most Clunky, 12" live LP

Rozi Plain, one of the most unique and original voices in alt-folk, has a spellbinding new album -  Friend - which is released on May 4, 2015.

You can now pre-order the album on CD, LP (with download), or as part of a special t-shirt bundle from the Lost Map webshop ...

Hot on the heels of their Dross E.P., released in February ... Tuff Love have a brand new, exclusive single, 'Groucho' - a süper loved-up blast of woozy harmony-driven scuzz-pop, which premiered over on The Line Of Best Fit earlier this week.

The song is being released in select independent shops for Record Store Day, as part of a split 7" with Lazy Day.   Tuff Love are also out on tour, starting TOMORROW (Thursday April 2nd) IN LONDON, so be sure to go and see 'em - click READ MORE for dates and ticket links ...
