OOZE DA MAN: PICTISH TRAIL'S LATEST SLIMY SENSATION + NEW TOUR DATES FOR 2026
STREAM ANOTHER GR8 NEW SONG CALLED 'WEREWOLF ENDING'
+ FULL-BAND TOUR ANNOUNCED,
SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN ⬇ FOR FULL LIST OF DATES

Yet more songs in the key of slime come oozing our way care of Johnny "Pictish Trail" Lynch, in the form of the hoooowwwwwlin' good 'Werewolf Ending'. A hypnotic meditation on culminations and transformations, streaming now, taken from Pictish's forthcoming "I can't believe it's not been released yet!" (except it basically has been released) new album Life Slime. Which you can unofficially officially purchase right now (for shipping b4 Xmas if you're quick) directly from us, in fan first / tour exclusive pre-release Primordial Blue-In-Pink Goo Edition format.

“A song about the moment you recognise that something in your life is shifting permanently – that strange mix of dread and clarity when an ending starts to take shape," says Johnny of ‘Werewolf Ending’, which moves from whispered acoustics and vocoder-soft vocals towards a swelling, cinematic finale.

It's a song that makes us think about some of our many favourite celebrity wolves from throughout the ages, from Teen Wolf [1985] to hairy-pitted fake-angry spandex pugilist "Wolf" out of Gladiators (nineties version). Also the wolf Simon Le Bon got so hungry like in that discomfortingly horny Duran Duran song from 1982, and cult nineteen-eighties Saturday afternoon helicopter-based American action military drama TV series Airwolf [1984-86], plus ofc various big, bad wolves of classic fairtytale fame (misc). Do you have a favourite celebrity wolf? Let us know at Instagram @ Facebook dot com.

SEAMUS FOGARTY MISSES FERRY; ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM SHIPS + NEW UK TOUR DATES
HAVE ANOTHER LISTEN TO 'I PASSED YOUR HOUSE'
PRE-ORDER SHIPS ON SUPER LTD EDITION "SUNSET PINK" VINYL
HE IS SAAAAAILING, HE IS SAIIILING, HOME AGAIN, 'CROSS THE SEA. Not the words of octogenarian rock horndog Rod "The Mod" Stewart, but a note about our very own Seamus Fogarty, as he prepares to release his spectacular, nautically titled brand new fourth album Ships. Which, for the avoidance of doubt, does not contain any Rod Stewart covers. Although Seamus did once write a song about the actor Jimmy Stewart. But we digress.

More about Ships, which you can pre-order right now on super limited-edition flirtatious "Sunset Pink" vinyl and/or traditional compact disc (CD), ahead of when it, ahem, ships, on release date. Which is to say: March 6, 2026. Seamus’s first new collection of music since 2023’s Hee Haw EP (featuring the Cillian Murphy acclaimed single ‘They Recognised Him’), Ships is his most expansive and uplifting collection of music to date. Channelling everything from Tortoise to early 90s hip hop, it’s packed with poignant and funny slice-of-life vignettes touching on love, loss, DIY coffins, cans on trains with strangers and so much more.

The list of esteemed collaborators on the record includes string-arranger and multi-instrumentalist Emma Smith (Pulp, Beth Gibbons), drummers Chris Vatalaro (Anohni, Radiohead) and Aram Zarikian (Grasscut), horns player Joe Auckland (Madness, Oasis) and producers/engineers Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Jon Hopkins) and Mike Lindsay (Tunng, Lump). Seamus will support the record with among other things some touring in March, of both the UK (beans) and then subsequently Denmark (bacon), with more live dates for 2026 TBA. Scroll all the way down ⬇ for the full list as it currently stands 🚢

DECEMBER POSTMAP CLUB
FEAT. ACOLYTE + MONOGANON
JOIN OUR CLUB
STREAM AND SHARE 'WARM DAYS IN DECEMBER' BY ACOLYTE
An exquisitely symmetrical combo of Lost Map's first and latest artists grace the last PostMap Club subscription service bundle for 2025.

Led by award-winning poet, artist, music-maker, storyteller and spoken-word performer Iona Lee, Edinburgh-based ensemble Acolyte were hailed by The Guardian last week for their "eerie, earthy psychedelia". Their new tune 'Warm Days in December' was described as "drowsy, drunken synthesiser with a baile funk-inspired groove built from hand drumming and trumpeting bass... (Iona) Lee’s macabre lyrics about climate collapse cut through the heat". If you like the sound of that, then sign up for the PM Club quick because it's included in our December dispatch together with a driving, beat-forward remix by fellow Edinburgh electronic artist Ravelston. Together with their Lost Map debut single ‘The Dark Blue’, the song will feature on Acolyte’s forthcoming debut EP, due for release in early 2026 (TBA).

Allllll the way back in the mists of time (October 28, 2013 to be completely specific), Monoganon's album F A M I L Y became the first ever record to be released on the fledgling Lost Map. A lot of years, a lot of music, and a lot of Rustlers "Mighty Spicy Double Decker" microwavable cheese burgers*™ later, and Lost Map ❤️s Monoganon still. Especially when he (John, is his name), randomly sends us disarmingly lovely longform wonders like his latest track 'Listening'. A tender, looped-piano meditation, inspired by the birth of John's daughter, it keeps time to the gentle thump of her sampled ultrasound heartbeat ❤️. We're not crying, you're crying. Okay tbf we are actually crying but only because our Rustlers was extra spicy.

Also included in December's PostMap Club:

Pictish Trail – 'Another Way' / 'Werewolf Ending' (b/w exclusive remixes)
Two key moments from Life Slime, with a remix by experimental electro-boffin samwooddoowmas, and a heavenly ambient piece by Glasgow’s Amulet.

XMAS CHEERS FROM YER OLD PALS LOST MAP! 🎅
A big THANKS to everyone who made it along to our final event of 2025, Lost Map's (mini) Xmas Humbug in Leith on Saturday night. It was a pure cracker, with sets from Callum Easter, Seamus Fogarty, GULP and Both Hands plus a banging marathon DJ sesh from Free Love, culminating in a life-affirming slice of delicious Cher. We can't wait to do it all with you all again next year. Including you, Cher.

We've had a fine and productive old time this year with albums by all from Painting and Curtis Miles to Seamus Fogarty, Fell, Faith Eliott, Firestations and Dominie Hooper. Plus PostMap Club releases and gigs galore and loads of other assorted small things far too numerous to mention. We would not be able to do any of the above, nor indeed anything at all, perhaps other than lie about in our Rustlers-stained festive boxers watching The Airwolf Collection on Blu-ray™, were it not for the loyal support of everyone who buys our records, subscribes to the PostMap Club, comes to our shows and generally shows us love and cheer (and cold, hard cash). More of the same in 2026 please, we truly appreciate you all! On which note, a reminder that annual gift subscriptions are on sale now and make a fine present for a music-curious loved one or indeed a music-hating mortal enemy. We don't judge.

We'll be back in 2026 with new music by Ishaaq Aarkistra, Pictish Trail, Seamus Fogarty, Acolyte, Isa Gordon, Manuela, Sulka, Both Hands, Blind Yeo plus much more. Watch this space face.
